I was a nervous wreck beforehand but after our session I felt well prepared and was even looking forward to the interview. I came away really clear about my strengths and what I wanted to get across in the interview. And I got the job!

Why public speaking feels challenging.
I’m Jo, and I created this course to give women the tools and guidance they need to overcome speaking nerves in a way that fits around their lives. Through my own experience of overcoming a fear of public speaking, I understand how challenging it can feel and I know that speaking is a skill that can be learned. The pre-recorded lessons and activities will help you understand what is causing your nerves, challenge self-doubt and build the confidence to approach speaking situations differently.
The course includes pre-recorded lessons and activities that you can work through in your own time. You can choose when and where you complete the content, giving you the flexibility to fit your learning around your work and other commitments.
This course is for women who want to overcome speaking nerves but need a flexible way to get started. It’s ideal if you’re not ready for live sessions, prefer to learn privately or want to build your confidence before joining a group or working with a coach.
No. This is a self-paced course, so there are no activities involving presenting in a group. The activities are designed to help you reflect, learn and build confidence in a way that feels comfortable for you. But in order to get results, you will need to identify opportunities to practice what you learn.
The time needed will depend on how quickly you choose to work through the lessons and activities. I’d recommend setting aside regular time each week, at least one hour, to reflect on what you’re learning and put it into practice, as building confidence comes from applying what you learn.
Alongside the 5 modules, you’ll need time to practise the skills you’re developing. Public speaking improves through practice, so we encourage you to try the techniques, reflect on your progress and look for opportunities to apply what you’ve learned from sessions.
You’ll have access to the course materials so you can work through the lessons at a pace that suits you. This means you can revisit the content, reflect on your progress and return to the activities whenever you need support.
