Ever find yourself holding back in meetings, second-guessing your ideas or dreading giving presentations? Overwhelmed by the thought of speaking to large or more senior audiences? You're not alone. Many women find this a real struggle. That's where I come in.

I work with professional women who have valuable ideas, experience and expertise, but who don’t always feel confident sharing them.

My mission is to help women overcome the fear and self-doubt that can stop them being heard, so they can share their ideas, showcase their expertise and take up the space they deserve.

Helping women develop the skills and confidence to communicate with impact!

Jo helped me to challenge my personal boundaries and reach for my goals. I had the benefit of Jo's advice and support. If public speaking makes you worried or nervous then I highly recommend that you have a look at what these sessions will provide.

I know a number of women who have grown in their confidence because of your coaching and support. I would encourage women to book now.

What an amazing programme you have created!

Emma Lochrie, Department Work & Pensions

I was a nervous wreck beforehand but after our session I felt well prepared and was even looking forward to the interview. I came away really clear about my strengths and what I wanted to get across in the interview. And I got the job!

I didn't think that one session would make such a difference!

Kind Words

WHY i DO THIS

There was a time when I dreaded speaking in a meeting. My voice shook, my heart raced and I'd spend days worrying about having to speak in front of other people.
If you'd told me then that I'd go on to coach women in public speaking, facilitate workshops and regularly present to hundreds of people, I wouldn't have believed you.

But that experience is why I do this work. I know how frustrating it is when your confidence holds you back, and I also know that public speaking isn't a talent you're born with. It's a skill that anyone can develop with the right support and plenty of practice.  I know first-hand how limiting it can feel when your confidence doesn’t match your capability. Seeing women overcome that same challenge, recognise their strengths and realise what they are capable of continues to inspire my work.

I believe we need more women’s voices, ideas and  perspectives in the conversations that shape our workplaces and communities. Helping women develop the confidence and skills to share those ideas is what drives me every day.

Speaking with confidence wasn't something that came naturally to me.....

MY Story

I started my career in the UK Civil Service, building my experience, taking on new challenges and progressing into leadership roles. But I always had a longing to do something that felt more meaningful. In 2020, with 20 years experience under my belt, I became a Crossing Thresholds facilitator, supporting women with their career development and progression. It reminded me how much I loved helping women grow and what was possible when people received the right support.

That was my sign. This was the work I wanted to do more of. It became the foundation for the next chapter of my career, combining my leadership experience with my passion for coaching, mentoring and supporting women.

From Career Ladder to Coach: Driven by a passion to support women

The journey so far

Outside of my work, I’m someone who loves adventure, learning and challenging myself. I’ve travelled solo to over 50 countries, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, run the London Marathon and travelled to Antarctica. These experiences have pushed me outside my comfort zone and taught me so much about resilience, curiosity and embracing new challenges.

I also enjoy the things that keep me balanced, from practising Pilates and playing padel to spending time outdoors and planning my next adventure. I love having new places to explore, challenges to take on and experiences to look forward to. I believe life is about staying curious, trying new things and always looking for opportunities to grow.

Beyond the Business: A Glimpse Into my Life and Loves

2026

I’ve written about some of the experiences that have been significant to me, from my career journey and public speaking to challenges I’ve taken on and places I’ve travelled to. I’ve shared a few of those stories here, so you can get to know a little more about me and the experiences that have shaped my career and my life.

Some Stories That Tell You More About My Life and My Work

2023

In 2023, I visited Bali for the first time on my way back from a two month trip to Australia and New Zealand. I gradually fell in love with island life and the pace of living there. Bali soon became a base for my travels and from there I explored more of South East Asia, including Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand. But I kept coming back to Bali until eventually it became my more permanent home.

2023: The Year I Fell in Love with Bali and South East Asia Became Home

2022

In 2022, I set up Epiphany Coaching to focus specifically on public speaking. I wanted to support women who struggle with nerves and help them feel more confident when speaking in front of others. It was the start of building a business around something I’d become increasingly passionate about through my own experiences and work with women.

The Year I Started My Own Business Supporting Women to Speak Up

2021

In 2021, I took a one-month trip to Valencia to see if I enjoyed travelling solo. It turned out I loved it, so I decided to sell my flat and set off to explore the world. I’ve now travelled to more than 45 countries on my own. There have been plenty of highlights along the way, including winter in Iceland, my first trip to Rome, celebrating Holi in India, visiting the Taj Mahal, the Souks in Morrocco and most recently exploring the temples of Japan and less visited places like Tigers Nest in Bhutan.

The Story Behind My Solo Travels Around The World And My Favourite Places

2016

I worked in the UK Civil Service, across roles in DWP, HMRC and Culture, Media and Sport. That gave me a broad experience of working with people, leading teams and communicating in different environments. That experience has shaped how I approach my work today, particularly my understanding of the challenges people can face when they need to speak up, influence others and communicate with confidence.
