I’m Jo, and I help women overcome speaking nerves and build the confidence to speak up more. Through my own experience of overcoming a fear of public speaking, I understand how challenging it can feel and I know that speaking is a skill that can be learned. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, challenge self-doubt and develop strategies that help you approach speaking situations differently.
1:1 coaching offers targeted support tailored to your individual needs. Group workshops, on the other hand, provides a community setting where you will learn course material but there will still be opportunity to share your own insights with others. The approach and environment differ.
This is for women who have tried to push through speaking nerves but still feel held back. If you want to understand what is causing your anxiety, challenge the beliefs affecting your confidence and work on the situations that matter most to you then 1:1 support gives space to focus on you.
We’ll have six 1-hour sessions over the 8 weeks, giving you time between each session to reflect, practise and apply what we’ve discussed. We’ll also start with a 30-min intro call where we’ll get to know each other, talk through your goals and agree a schedule that works best for you.
All sessions take place online via Zoom or Teams, so you can join from wherever you are. You can use a laptop, tablet or even your phone. As we’ll be discussing your individual challenges and experiences, it’s helpful to join from a private space where you feel comfortable to talk openly.
Alongside the weekly sessions, you’ll need time to practise the skills you’re developing. Public speaking improves through practice, so I encourage you to try the techniques, reflect on your progress and look for opportunities to apply what you’ve learned from sessions.
The focus will be different for everyone, depending on what you want to achieve. We’ll explore what is causing your nerves, challenge the beliefs holding you back and work on ways to help you feel more confident in speaking situations.
